During Boxing Day 2006, the Bondi Explorer was diverted away from the Double and Rose Bay areas due to the crowds watching the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The Explorer service operated to Maroubra Beach and La Perouse instead, where this low floor can be seen.
